What The World Needs Now…
When I was a teenager I was obsessed with the hippies of the 1960s. Their movement just made so much sense to me! Love! Just pure love. Let’s love each other, we are all one, no one is more or better than the other. One persons pain is humanity’s pain.
I couldn’t understand how there could be war, abuse, homophobia, racism… How could anyone do that to another person? It just didn’t make sense. All I wanted was a world full of love, where we could respect each other and care for one another with open hearts. Surely it was that easy?!
Of course now i know that it isn’t that easy. This world is a complex place that is full of deep trauma and fear. Full of people acting on the limited vision that this fear causes.
Hurt people hurt people, isn’t that the saying? Is it hurt people that cause war, leading to thousands of more hurt people?
Is it fear that helps us forget that we are all just people trying to do our best to live as well as we can on this beautiful planet? That helps us to forget that we are all human beings? That love is pure no matter what?
I know that my view point is simplified, but in a way isn’t it all just about love and fear?
And if so, what is the antidote?
Well, one antidote is the beautiful Rose. The ancient symbol of pure love. The sweet smelling flower of the heart.
This is the flower that called me to begin making flower essences. This was the essence that called to heal my broken heart when I was in a place of confusion and emotional pain. This was the essence that showed me what compassion was, for myself and for others that I had difficulties with and felt incredibly hurt by. This was the flower that made it more simple, the flower that taught me, once again, that really it is all about love.
So, what does the world need right now? Dear me it needs love. Love, love and more love. The simplifying pure essence of enlightening and enlivening love!
And maybe, this is what we all need right now! To help us remember while in these times of overwhelming information, overwhelming everything actually, that really it’s all simple. It is all about love. Love for ourselves, love for others, love for this beautiful earth…
Can it really be that simple? Surely not!
But why not!
In our small lives, we can create small corners of love. And believe me, love vibrates widely and strongly. Love is magnetising, love is energising, love is enlivening. Love is the source of life force and the source of joy.
So yes, I feel that we could all do with daily regular doses of Rose flower essence- pure love, to support us to remember our compassion, for ourselves and others, to strengthen our loving hearts in this crazy world. To help us shine our love, just by being, for others to remember as well.
What this world needs now is love sweet love…
